I'm the original owner of an Orion serial number 95W9541.  Still in rock solid condition.  Only things not original are the strings and the 9 volt.  Any idea what this era runs for?

Am I missing something?  Because I'm not seeing an answer in the thread.

Hi Darin,
Your serial number's first two digits are the year of manufacture. So your Orion was complete`d in 1995. It's still a currently manufactured model.

I believe the W designates an Epic,
an Orion would be an O...

Hello Darin,
very late reply, as I´am an older member but just now find time for my musical interests again.
Just a little additional information:
Your model is named "Epic", produced since 1993. Code: W.
Concerning the serial number and the production volume in 1995 (more than 700 alembics have been build that year) it was finished very late in 1995, probably in December.
Best regards from Germany!
