The only thing I've been able to find is that the direct out has its on transformer, so checking it might be the next step. Since I'm not an electronics person, I don't know how to go about doing that, though I'm sure it involves using a multimeter to test current at each stage of the ciruit. And if you're not an electronics person, you will probably want to have an amp tech do it since there are dangerous high voltages involved. Hopefully some others may notice this thread and have more helpful information. You may want to open it up and at least look for any components that look burned or leads that look loose or broken, especially look for breaks where capacitors are soldered.
