Potis for my Distillate

Hello, first of all - please excuse my bad english.
I have a big problem with my 1983 Distillate. I need the volume poti, the filter poti and the pickup selector poti. Does anybody know if it\s possible to get these parts in germany as a standard replacement part or does anybody know the producer and part numbers? Is it possible to take other potis from another producer?

mloehndorf...alembic have there own bespoke pots, I think it would be difficult to find exact matches for these components.I suggest e mailing Alembic directly, info to give would be the serial number of the bass and the serial numbers on the pots.
Having said all that..what is exactly the problem as it may be fixable without resorting to replacement. Seems strange that all three are faulty.
Other members will come in if you explain as best you can what the problem is

Hi Marco, welcome to the Club!
 
Are you getting crackling noises when you turn the volume or filter knobs? The original pots are self-cleaning, so it's worth trying to turn the volume and filter all the way open and then all the way down again. Repeat ten or twenty times.

Marco, welcome to the club... Many of us don't speak english either, but the guys here are all great (so, don't bother much about your english, we'll do our best to understand you).  
 
May be the problem aren't caused by bad potentiometers, try to describe what is going on with your Bass before thinking about doing some major surgery on it. Write us in English but also double the text in German. I believe there are some german folks around who could help you to translate more precisely the symptons.

Hi Marco; welcome to the board!  This is an international community, and we have some members who are good with languages (I'm not).  Interestingly, the first three respondents to your post are from the United Kingdom, Nederland, and Brazil.  As they have already stated, if you can describe the problems you are having with the pots, we'll try to help.  As Adriaan mentioned, if the problem is that the pots are scratchy, which can happen on an instrument that hasn't been played recently, then exercising the pots, turning them back and forth through their entire travel twenty or thirty times should help as they are sealed self-cleaning pots.

Hi Marco. One option would be to contact station music who are a big Alembic retailer situated between Munchen and Stuttgart. They should be able to help.
