I own several different flangers: new and vintage Electric Mistresses, MXR's, the MOOG Clusterflux. They sound wonderful with my Alembics, all three of which have the same Skylark electronics.

Last week I built a small travel pedalboard and couldn't fit a flanger on it. So I bought a Mooer Eleclady. The Mooer pedals are micro size and made in China. They've gotten fairly decent reviews. The flanger actually sounds very good.

The problem is that with two of my Alembics, I get a repeating/oscillating clicking sound whenever the pedal is engaged. It doesn't happen with any of my other guitars (none of which have active electronics) and for some reason, one of the Alembics sounds perfect.

Has anyone else experienced this type of noise with their Alembics and any flanger?

I ain't an expert but sounds like the CMOS chip that is used for the'recycling' is causing it.
Someone may chip in with a suggestion to remove the said clicking sound.
Could be poor quality chips

I happened to hook up with my pedalboard last night - have an EHX nano-Small Stone with distortion after - with both engaged, I heard a rhythmic clicking while not playing and with the bass turned a certain angle and close to the amp! Normally I would never notice - I will have to see if it only does it for Alembics...
