that's quite a collection. The Alembics are unsurprisingly astonishing. That Tobias (I think, anyway) is nice also. Since I've been playing Alembics, I haven't been able to buy anything else. I was close a couple of times.

I never thought of using a bass to clear the icicles! Good idea. Do you have to use a five string or will a four string suffice if you set your amp to earthquake mode? Would this put the windows at risk? Or do you need to set up outside using 10's carefully aimed at the eaves?

No, those are not for playing bass through. I collect old 60's speakers and amps and those are just some I was using to mess around with some friends at work.

I borrowed a friend's camera to shoot some pics for insurance purposes a while back. Here is a shot that shows a bit more of what we were using for a PA at the time. I have the typical Eden stuff and the like for playing through, but I mainly like my old Sunns and Fenders or BGW setups to mess around with. My Sunn 200S' are my very favorites, even though they hiss a bit, as they need to be recapped. Here is a shot of a BGW rack I setup that day.

As for the name Poor Nigel, it is a short story by John Lennon about a pup everyone always ignored. However, one day everyone was paying him attention and saying such nice things to him and giving him treats. It seems that everyone except poor Nigel knew he was going to the pound that day. I started a printing company in high school, Poor Nigel Publishing, and have used the name ever since. Lastly, I rent and insure EVERYTHING in this place, so no shoveling off the roof or knocking down icicles for me. So that is how you spell icicles and eaves . . . I never would have guessed. Thanks, I like it when I learn something new. A large part of the reason I come here is to look at pics of people's stuff. Why... I don't know, but I really like em. I like all kinds of old equipment and new stuff, too. If anyone wants larger/more pics, simply ask and I will e-mail you some. Note that most are over a meg each, so best to have cable and define how many and of what you would like. Merry Christmas to all.

that is a very impressive set up u have some buetiful insruments as well i c you use alembic strings very cool your rig collection is a bit intimidating but exremly impressive i think it would take me bout an hour to fid out how to switch it all on im not good with electrics.

SN of of 20th Anniversary is 41, I believe. dang, ya made me go and look. Yep, 41 of 200.

I picked this up in Seattle used, so in case its old owner is around, here is a body shot of it. They would know it by the character marks on either side of the neck above the truss rod cover. I would know it anywhere by its neck, which is the best I have found. But a pic won't show that.
