This morning I was teaching a chapel lesson involving music, I thought it was a wonderful opportunity to get the children excited about musicianship and show off my short scale. Before I pulled it out, I showed them a short clip of an Abraham Laboriel solo. They were very impressed. I had given them percussion instruments. Some brought recorders, harmonicas and other small intruments. I pulled out my Stanley and all eyes were filled with wonder. All hands wanted to embrace it. The kids thought it was unfair of me to have the pretty guitar and they had tambourines. I really felt for them, kind of. Anyway we began to play together. Many questions followed the session. I think many were inspired to learn to play. They wanted to know exactly what kind of guitar it was and then vowed to get one exactly like it one day. I guess you're not to young to recognize a good thing. It was the most fun i've had in a long time. I'll reluctantly admit that I hooked it up into a behringer keyboard amp. It still sounded great.
