Sneak Peek at new Alembic webpages
« on: August 25, 2015, 05:34:58 PM »
Been working on my VAST image collection for a good long while now and can finally get some new product pages going. The first one is the Stanley Clarke Signature Basses page and I am keen to hear some feedback on it viewed on different devices and platforms.

I've got another three pages just about ready to go, and those will follow in a matter of days. I'll be sharing with my peeps on the Alembic Club first of course

After I get all the product pages revised, I'll be working on mobile-friendly stuff and some other cool goodies.

Page looks great! Love that you can view the different wood types and models. Listing options below is also a winner. I viewed on an iMac using Firefox and had no display problems, thumbnails expanded when clicked on etc.

Looks fine on Google Chrome, as well. I loaded all images fine, and want to own each and every example.

Looks great to me in Explorer and Chrome. And nice to see one of my basses in the mix.

Looks great and sizes perfectly on my Samsung Android phone using chrome, dolphin, and firefox. The added details like the history, retro model, weight, and body depth are a nice added touch and in one place.

I noticed some of the standard models show full laminate necks as opposed to the walnut pinstripes.

Other than that looks good on Firefox.

I guess a Jimmy Johnson and Mark King page will be coming as well, looks great !
Looking forward to the forthcoming page indeed Mica.
I can relate to that story, when I first seen Stan, it was on a late night music program in the 70's when I was 16 or 17, 'The Old grey Whistle test' on BBC 2 and it was  Return To Forever' who were on the programme.
I heard the sound and was awed at his playing but the only basses I knew were Fender & Gibson, I could not recognise his bass at all! It was a couple of years later that I finally heard of Alembic to which were very rare in the UK! The only person I knew in the UK who had one was Norman Watt-Roy who was in Ian Dury & The Blockheads and it is featured on the video 'Hit Me With Your Rhythm Stick'

Worked like a charm on both iPhone and Chrome-equipped laptop. Wonderful pics! And what Keith said about the standard models.

Looks great!

Nice having the history as well as all the specs on the same page.  Having the models lined up side by side answers a lot of what's the difference between X and Y questions

Mica ,it all looks swell !

Terry , I am a fan of that Norman Watt-Roy video with Ian Dury.
Everytime I see and hear that video , I think to my self ;  there is some serious Bass playing going on !   I usually have to listen to it twice because I really like it .
