last night on VH1 Classic Albums they did Fleetwood Mac's Rumours, tons of John's Alembic in action.
keep an eye for it, it was worth watching

I haven't caught this one yet. That's about the time they were all fed up with each other. It made for some great songs with all the tension.
IMHO He's one of the coolest rock steady bassist ever recorded. The less is more approach worked very well for him and the alembic sound stands out.

It was rerun last week. I got sick of the album because it got so much play back in the day but always loved John's bass sound. Didn't know it was due to his playing Alembics around that time until I read it somewhere in the Club.
