I just want to go public with a VERY BIG thank you to the folks in Santa Rosa. I brought my new Further in for a little tweaking. As I had posted on my FTC thread, I wanted the string spacing widened a bit. James & I huddled over the neck and went over what I was looking for - then he went to work. I have to say, he makes cutting a new nut from a brass blank look easy. I suspect it might not go so smoothly if I tried it. While I was there, I mentioned to Susan that I'd like to add an internal dimmer for the LEDs. Susan picks up the phone, calls Ron, and poof! the dimmer was installed in no time. After James was finished and the guitar strung and tuned, it played like a dream. The dimmer allows me to set the brightness just the way I like it, a bit more subdued than full on. I look at my Further and it amazes me that it's perfect. No blemishes, nothing crooked - heck even the bird tailpiece is centered! There is nothing whatsoever about this guitar that doesn't meet, if not exceed, my wildest expectations! The wait was well worth it. So I want to take the opportunity to thank everyone at Alembic who worked on this guitar and especially thank Susan, Ron, James, Mary, Bill, Tony, and Jason (I hope I didn't forget anyone) for the amazing service and support you guys showed this afternoon.
Bill, tgo
