Hello friends, I wanted to share my 6 String bass solo with you all.  I recorded this with my Lefty Epic 6 (Birdseye Maple).  Some of you have heard this before.  Here's the link to my site:

Hope you all enjoy it, I love, and choose to play, Alembic basses for life, they just kick ass.  Take care,  Dr.Z

Nice.  I can't think that fast, let alone get any part of my body to move that fast!

That was very good, drz.
Rich
Edit:  As far as the tone goes, what effects/settings were you using on the solo?  The profile says only many other goodies.

That solo was recorded direct using EQ and a bit of chorus.

sounds great Ron.......  heard the chorus, picked it right out.. its always a nice effect , subtle yet fattens up things nicely without being over the top.

Effects are nice when used in the right spot,  and not just for the sake of using an effect.

Do I hear a little Sheehan, Coven influence in there ?

Definetely some Sheehan influence.  I studied him a bit in the earlier days of my career.  I know this sounds kind of dumb, but, who is Coven.  Maybe I have heard him and just cant place or associate him.  I would really like to know.  Take care.

Hey DrZ,

Randy Coven,  I have 2 of his CD's, Funk Me Tender and Sammy Says Ouch also a transcription book,  Randy might not be as well known as Sheehan ( to some) , but plays like him, He toured as Yngwie Malmsteen's bassist.
