Just got back from a week in Halifax N.S. attending an international conference. Luck was with me and it was also the week of the Halifax Jazz Festival. Great bands playing jazz ranging from the traditional big band type to the most avant-garde. And to my surprise...3 bassists playing Alembics (and crowds that were knowledgeable enough to recognize them).
