My Alembic Essence has been my main (and only) bass during 15 years. More than 100 gigs, demos, recordings sessions and everything. Since 2009 the Essence is sharing the stage with an Stingray. Here are some pics of past good shows: Opening for Lordi 2007

  Ripollet Rock 2009

  Opening for Negative 2010

Good picture, co-incidentally it looks like you have plugged your bass into the microphone.... :-0

This bass has come a long way to do a gig tonight. Monday it was in Australia, Friday it's on a gig in the UK. The sound of this bass is nothing short of incredible. I can hear why Stanley loves them. it has a certain sweetness of tone that the 34 inch scales don't have. Incidentally how cool is it to do your first straight ahead jazz gig on an alembic...!!!!

This bass has come a long way to do a gig tonight. Monday it was in Australia, Friday it's on a gig in the UK depping on bass for a band called 'From Scratch who play calypso infused Jazz.
I have to say though, sound of this bass is nothing short of incredible. I can hear why Stanley & Pierre-Yves love them. A series shortie has a certain sweetness of tone that the 34 inch scales don't have. Incidentally this was my first ever full straight ahead jazz gig and how cool do it on a series alembic. It's earned it's place on next weeks jazz funk gig. I have a couple of clarkee tracks in the set list so that will be perfect.
