Alan, that looks great! I'm usually not a fan of that shape, but this one somehow seems right.

Thanks! A little hard to tell from this pic but it's macassar ebony. I've wanted one like this since I first saw the wood and this one came my way in May...

Yeah i should have looked a bit harder. It sure is a beauty.  I have a weakness for ?lan basses. That  dark top with the light edging of maple showing looks very spectacular.  
How are you finding the brightness of the tone?

It is bright, but it's full. I just added a 15 extension cabinet to my amp set up for a little more low end punch. I've always played with a bit of a trebly edge so it works for me. The filter always seems to end up wide open with the bass boost on, treble boost off but not cut... I've found my sound.
