Well, it's not MY Alembic, but I'm playing it.  8) This just popped up as a Facebook memory from 2016. Sitting in for a song with my former classic rock cover band 97Nine with guitarist and educator EXTRAORDINAIRE, Dr. Dave Uhrich. The bass is a 36'' scale Rogue 5 with a mini heart omega. What a beast!

Steely Dan, Home at last.
For many years, as far back as I can remember, I almost always select this track on my car stereo once I get off the motorway after a long distance gig.

Playing my Series II bass in Berkeley, CA with Stu Allen and Mars Hotel last night. We covered the 4/1/88 Grateful Dead show from the Meadowlands Arena. Band really ripped it up, fun to reconnect with Stu and my first gig using my re-configured Bareface rig.

Not only fine looking but I get lots of comments about how amazing it sounds. Series II electronics and an ebony neck laminate is a hard combo to beat.

Looks good, Stephen, beautiful bass. What is your new rig configuration?

I was using a 2x12 Barefaced Supertwin with a single 12” Big Baby 2 on top, same Eden pre, superfilter and Crest Prolite 3.0. The Supertwin was so much louder than the BB2 and lacks the horn that the BB2 has so the rig sounded out of balance and was missing the clarity and sense of air I wanted from the high end. The BB2s have a wider frequency response low and high, I wanted a rig that sounded as similar to playing through a PA as possible and the two BB2s get me much closer.

That’s great, I use one BB2 or two of them when I need more volume, I really like them.  I’m also using a Prolite 3.0 and an F-2B (when not using a Walter Woods amp).  I like the Barefaced big Baby cabs.

Another Barefaced user here. I generally use the Big Twin 2 as my main cab and BB2 for smaller gigs. They are a great match with my alembics.
