Does anybody have a picture of a ferrite bead? I'm not sure what it looks like and how would it be better than wrapping copper foil tape around the pick-up wires?

Mike, do a search. I know there's a thread around here somewhere that includes at least one photo. It's several months old I think but should come up on the search engine. Although, I'll bet Dave has a link for you before I quit typing this.

Like a piece of rigatoni made of metal about 1/2 inch long.

You can buy those magnets at an electronic store. I put them on my cables. Ask for an RF choke.

If you need a ferrite bead for your older Alembic, just email me your address with the serial number and we'll get one right out to you.
