Sig Deluxe w/ SI elec upgrade vs. straight SI

This has been question I've been tring to figure out without bothering wonderful people at Alembic.  I always try to find out thru other means to get my information... but I have been unable to find it.
 
I looked at the Custom Quote generator, and between Series I and Sig Deluxe w/ Series I electronics, there's $400 difference (Sig being cheaper) and Sig will come with 5A quilt or cocobolo, which is an upgrade for SI.
 
Is there anything else different between 2?  I haven't been following the feature changes made to standard spec'ed SI, so I'm not sure if there's any other cool stuff that SI comes with... like more wood work, hardware plating etc...
 
I apologize if this question was asked many times before.  I was unable to find anything on my own, coming here to seek your help.

The S1 adds chrome plated hardware.  It would seem that the upgraded Signature would be a better value if you add in the cocobolo top and back.  You always have to look at the monthly special as well while considering the other optional features you're looking for.  
 
I tell you one thing, though, I can't see how Alembic ever sells an instrument with Series I electronics.  The cost to go from Series I to Series II is so low that everyone should take advantage of that upgrade.

Chrome plating is the only thing I could see from Custom quote generator.  I know that Series II adds some nice wood working upgrades (more decorative laminates etc) I just didn't know if Series I received similar treatment.
Cocobolo and 5A Quilt is very expensive upgrades now, it is difficult to make up that much cost difference in just decorative laminates or other minor upgrades.  Maybe there's something that I don't know about, that's mainly what this post is about.
 
And I agree with you on SI to SII upgrade.  It is very small charge, you might as well do it while you're spending over $10k.
Right now, I'm looking at many options.  I can upgrade my electronics on my current bass, or I can sell it, and build me a new one.  New one would have to be less 'flashy' as far as options go, but ever since I played SC signature at store, I am extremely attracted to short scale basses.  And used SI/SII short scale basses are pretty rare, so my options are limited.
 
If I were to order a new one, it would be SI (with SII upgrade) with short scale, Standard body w/ Omega cut and pistrl grip horn.
