I love the look of the neck.  I wanted that spacing of woods when I was ordering but couldn't get it done.  The varying sizes really make it look classy.

'Welded palladium contacts' in the side jack . . . why do I always worry that NASA flights get postponed because Ron's parts order was shipped first?!?!

I had a chance to check The Darling out when I went on a factory tour and it was very impressive, smaller and lighter than the other Alembics, and- of course- beautifully made.  I would have bought it for my wife if she played guitar.  I would have bought it for myself if I hadn't just bought a Tribute.

I really dig the shape of this guitar.  I got to see one when I visited the workshop last June, and was actually very surprised by how small it was, having only seen pictures before.

I'd be interested to see if the same shape could be done in a larger size.

James,

My Little Bear was the first Darling. The guitar Alembic is currently making for me will pretty much be what you said...a much larger Darling. Wait and see!

I've often thought the same thing. Jonathan, I'm looking forward to the development of your new project.

Wow, I can't believe I missed this until now.  I don't see it listed on the price list though.  Does anyone happen to know what Alembic lists these for?

Sticker price on a 6 string (either medium or long scale) Darling is 5800$ plus case.
