I just listened to that song and was curious if the bass was an Alembic. At least it sounds like one to my ears. Does anybody know anything about it?

Nope, the bassplayer of that band was a musicman endorser and used a Sabre model bass as his main bass.
 
He's also seen playing that one in the video for that song.

Ah, great to know, thanks! That short slapping part in the second something minute of the song reminded me of the typical hi-fi Alembic slap sound but musicman is a good explanation too.
