Thanks Ken. I enquired with Graham re the cost of a bass similar to the above with Europa electronics and a knobby peghead, and I must admit was rather surprised to find that it would cost the same as my Triple O did when I bought it. Graham's going to check re a more accurate price but if it's in that ballpark I'm going to have to pass, certainly for the time being. Even worse new was the impending price increase in January.....oh well. I dread to think how much my TO would cost now, as it's about $3000 more on the Quote Generator than that Essence.

They all look nice,, but- it's like putting fingernail polish and the hands of a beautiful woman. I say- leave it natural. The wood is the most beautiful thing on earth.
 
Every time I scan the pictures in this forum, I always skip over the painted ones and go to the natural wood basses.  
 
I'm sure you love it so I don't mean to rain on your parade but I just love wood.
