I've put it on my calendar.
So, it looks like 4 or 5 attendees. It seems to be that there are other members from NC & SC that don't check in often, so if you think of anyone else, search for their profile and send them an email.
Chuck;
In addition to directions, and the hours that we will be allowed to take over the store, I would like to know if we can bring our own rigs.
Also, it suddenly occurs to me, that I'm not sure how comfortable I am with a store full of people I don't know who are not members of this club milling around too close to our basses and rigs.
I'm not sure I want to spend seven hours in my car, plus all the set up, tear down, load in, load out associated with a gig, to hear a bunch of people I don't know say Hey man, can I play your bass.
I'm spending seven hours in my car to meet my Alembic club friends and to play my bass.
And what happens when some guitar player walks into the store and wants to try out the Marshall stack across the room from us to see how it sounds when it's cranked?
And then there's the fact that I like to turn up loud enough to hear myself over the drummer.
In other words, I think there need to be some kind of ground rules. I don't know anything about Shomaker's, and they may have experience hosting events of this type and may know what to do. So when you talk to them, if you don't mind, express these concerns and get a feel for what's going to happen.
I don't mean to be negative, I just want this to be a positive experience for all of us and for the store and its patrons.
Oh, and we'll need a pretty good drummer!
