Has anyone tried putting a convention together for owners and potential owners of Alembic Legends?

That's been discussed, talked about, and then discussed some more. Europe has been mentioned as a location. Both the east and west coasts of the US have been nominated. It was even suggested that Europe and the US alternate years. Most everyone seemed open to the idea it's just putting something together for real is the challange.  Alembic doesn't have the staff or time to organize anything on this scale. Individual club members are also pretty much tied up with personal lives and business. It seems that since the Alembic Club is not really a club with any kind of structure the logistics get kind of muddy. With no dues there's no treasury funds to hire an organizer or guarantee a block of hotel rooms.
Sorry to be so wordy but all that to say, yeah it's been thought of but no, it hasn't been tried.
To quote an old movie If you build it, they'll come

Hi Sam (bracheen),
Thanks for the feedback.  Maybe we could start small and chapters around the world can follow.  I am going to try and start with one right here in Sacramento.  I love that expression from Field of Dreams.  Another one more relative to the industry is...all majors were once minors.

I'd try to start a Club here in Fayetteville, NC, but I think I'd probably be the only member!  I know of only one other guy in the local area that owns an Alembic.  Everyone else owns Ibanez, Fender, and other mass produced makes.

Alan (ajdover),

That should make it real easy to start an Alembic Club in your area.  Just think, we could be making history here.

Thanks,
Darrell

I know you did not buy a Alembic thinking everyone had one. Rare is what makes us Alembician's, (Make it so number one)

I bought an Alembic thinking everyone should have one.  But rare indeed is the breed.  Thanks for the support, maybe you can put a small one together in VA.  I'm planning a small one for springtime here in Sacramento with those who have made contact with me.

Once you've made solid plans please post them and let others know what you have going. You might be surprised at the turn out!

Well, that would be a long overdue justification for the existence of Sacramento!!  My Rogues and I will be there whenever it happens.
