February Custom Of The Month

Is you is or is you is not Barry's Dark Custom? The pic was changed this weekend to Barry's beauty, but the link was still for Gregg's Egg. Then, Barry's bass disappeared altogether in favor of the Jan COM. What gives? Inquiring minds wanna know!

Well Kevin, I guess you now know we're not perfect! Actually, when I loaded the Featured Custom picture for Barry's bass on Friday, I mistakenly named it the same as the Featured Custom picture for January and overwrote the file. On Sunday, I realized the error, but didn't have the original January file handy, so I simply resized Barry's picture on the front.  
 
I'm guesing that you were looking at a cached version of the January page later (possible from a different computer?) since the index picture hasn't changed and the actual Featured Custom piece was not posted until today.
 
Now everything's in place except the coffee mug. Enjoy!

Wow! What a gorgeous instrument. The coco bolo is especially striking, and the purpleheart is so juicy. The beautiful unmolested ebony of the fretless neck combine with the other wood to present a most excellent visual appeal. I'm sure it sounds as amazing as it looks.
 
Congratulations Barry on your new bass - and congratulations to the folks at Alembic on another master-work.
 
Also, I must compliment Mica on the clever treatment of the concept as a jelly jar with custom label - Mama Alembic - I'm still grinning.

I'm glad you still have your sense of humor Mica, LOL! It's all in good fun, no offense meant nor none taken. I guess I called it with the jelly (donut) crack I made about a year ago, LOL!

I've checked the pic at three different locations, and the home page shows Barry's - clear your cache because it's got the same filename as the previous picture and you'll see it.

OK, I finally got it! Barry's baby is now plastered all over the site Home Page for all to see, drool over, and envy! Jelly, jelly, jelly, LOL!
