The person selling this box on eBay stopped the auction at the last minute, parted it out, and is now auctioning the box and speakers separately - obviously to make more money. Our comrade in arms, Jimmy, bid on this auction. Therefore, even though I generally bid on gauss 12's, I will not touch either item, out of protest to the seller's unfair action towards one of ours. Do note that I was not going to bid on this, anyway, as I warned Jimmy it was not original, therefore it might seem tacky to jump it in the end.
The separate auctions start for a total of $225, so Jimmy is welcome to try and get these for what he would have, if he wants - but we all know the speakers alone will go for over $200. I have paid over $300 for orange baskets. I e-mailed the seller to let him know I did not show favor of his actions and that I will not consider bidding on any of his auctions in the future. I suppose I just do not like it when others obligate themselves to a deal, and the other party flakes out on them for a petty reason, like greed.
I will not ask other to do what I have done, but I surely will not discourage anyone either . . . OK, I have rebelled enough this month. Thanks for reading this Y'all.
