Hi Julian,

The main difference is that the Series Basses have stereo capability, where the Signature Basses don't.

The Signature Basses have the same basic controls as the Series I (Vol, Tone & 'Q' switch per pickup), but the Series I also has a 4 way pickup selector and two 3 position 'Q' switches instead of the Signature's 2 position 'Q'.

The Series II has a variable 'Q' per pickup, master volume, 4 way pickup switching, volume and tone per pickup and side LEDs.

Oh yeah, the Series Basses have chambered bodies and different numbers of body laminates, neck laminates, unlimited options......etc....

By the way, Stanley Clarke plays a Series I.

A slight correction: signature electronics have only a master volume mated with a pan control, not two individual volumes one for each pickup.
Anniversary electronics are closer to Series I, 2 volumes, 2 filters, 2 q switches, 1 pickup selector, mono/stereo switch on the 1/4 inch jack output.  I just changed the signature electronics in my fretless to Anniversary electronics & I like the wider tonal flexibility offered by the 2 volumes.

Aren't the pickups single coils also on the series I & Series II  and not on the SC Signature basses? That would also impact on the tone of the electronics.

Val/Mica,

What would an upgrade of Signature electronics to Anniversary electronics cost?

Would my bass have to be shipped to the factory or is it possible to have the job done by Edwin at the Bass Connection?

An upgrade like that might be an interesting option for me, depending on the cost.
