Check it out: 6 string Series II - $2500

I also thought that the goal might have been email address harvesting, but I also agree that there would have been a better way to go about it.  Not too many people are going to respond to an ad for a medium scale six string bass that requires a power supply and costs $2,500.  The number of people who are knowledgable enough to know what we are talking about with this bass is fairly small.

Another thought that did occur to me was that the seller simply mistyped his email address and is wondering why nobody has responded to his ad.

Another thought is that it may have something to do with using the other guy's server.

I'm wondering if we should contact bassgear.com about this.

Whadda y'all think, the real deal or another bogus ad? I refuse to succumb to temptation and e-mail the guy...well on the way to paying off the S2, thank you very much.

Birdseye Maple and Mahogany. Has a blue box that plugs in and a case. Got it in pawn shop. Don't really like it. Takin' offers.
Fender is more my cup of tea.

It plays good, but I can't figure out the controls.

Figured the age from the serial number.

CSdude and DRbassman both at Hotmail?
Sounds a little too similar.

DRbassman@hotmail.com returns nothing in Google, but there is a DRbassman who posts on the Dudepit:

Same guy? Who knows. He knows it's maple and mahogany, but can't figure out the controls?
