Alembic bass strings
« on: November 25, 2025, 09:41:14 AM »
I can't find the cx-3 Alembic bass strings.  The factory said they are out of them.  Could I use the Thomastik Infeld Power bass strings with the .107 E on my Alembic?

I can't see a reason why not, offhand. What is your bass?

*I have a very lightly used set of Alembic CX3 strings, repackaged, cut for a medium-scale Distillate bass I'll give someone for the cost of postage to wherever you are.

I'm a little bit weird about strings. When I am installing them on a bass, and I cut the silked end, I singe the cut end in a candle flame and then dip it in paraffin. It keeps them tidy, and prevents ravelling. Or is it unraveling? Your choice.

You'll never see it once they are on the bass, but here;
