Hi
I have an Essence 4 string and i use hi beams 40-95.
Due to humidity the neck went back bow and i had fret buzz from the 1st up to 9th fret on the E string.I tried to adjust the truss rod but it is full loose so i cannot give relief to the neck.
1)I placed the bass on my sofa with the headstock at the edge of the sofa letting the weight of the bass to give relief to the neck and it worked.
2)Same way is to loosen the strings, put a wooden dowel on the fretboard and tighten the strings again for 1-2 days.
3)I also know about using heavier gauge string will help.
Of course i know that these are not recommended ways to solve the problem but just some temporarily solutions.
After a research online i read that for double truss rods,if you keep rolling the truss rod nut/screw anti clockwise, then the truss rod will tighten again.I am afraid that if i do so then the nut will fall off.
I do not know if this information is valid for Alembics or if you have any other suggestions.
Thanks in advance
