The things that pop into my head......
« on: September 30, 2025, 02:35:44 PM »

I was just working a crossword; the clue was "Drama with singers", the answer they wanted was "Opera".

Having worked with singers, I think a more apt answer to that clue would be "Business as usual".........

True Peter, and I'm the singer/bass player, but in the bands I've been in, it's the drummer...Tony

Once upon a drummer so many past
Mine trauma compiles a path of miles
Drama I perceiveth quite visceral
Forlorn and lachrymose the minstrel didst sing
The patrons shaken with eyes full of tears
As witnesses remembered through lost years

So, in fencing, a foil scores with the tip, a saber scores with the edge, and an epée scores with both.

Does that make the epée a duel-purpose weapon?
