Hello to all members.  Apologies for the crazy text formatting.  I wrote everything in Word but when I cut and pasted sections, all kinds of formatting info came across..

PRICE $7200 plus $100 shipping insured - can be picked up on Long Island for to save shipping

About 2 years ago, I made offers on 2 Stanley Clarke basses at the same time - a Brown Bass and the Signature Deluxe which was listed here on the group Both offers were accepted!  I decided to buy both.  Today, I purchased an all original '64 black Fender Precision bass and have bills to pay so I'm going to offer this one here to members first at a discount from what I will list it for on other sites.
I bought this bass from the original owner on this site.  Here was the original thread with even more images of the bass
https://club.alembic.com/index.php?topic=27850.msg283059#msg283059

Here is a brief description and you can see the build sheet in the photos:
[Exhibition grade cocobolo top & back.  Purpleheart body accent laminates sandwiched between maple pinstripes.  Vermillion core.  Maple neck with 2 purpleheart laminates.  Ebony fingerboard with abalone ovals.  Red side LEDs.  Brass backplates.  Neck width at the nut is 1.5 inches.  Silver alembic logo on headstock.  Gold GOTOH machine heads.  Slight buckle wear on the brass cavity plate

The matched Cocoolo top shows gorgeous grain in the light but when no light is on it, it shows less grain.

Most Signature Deluxe SC basses I have looked at weigh roughly 11 lbs.  I spoke with Mica about reducing the weight and she suggested getting Gotoh lighweight direct replacement (no drilling or routing of the required), replacing the brass bridge support block, which weighed 10 ounces, with a finished mahogany bridge block (the bridge is brass) which Alembic made for me (cost of 175) and replacing the brass battery cover and backplate, which weighed about half a lb, with shielded fiber carbon plates would also lower the weight and would cost $350 from Alembic.

I bought the wood block from Alembic and bought GOTOH RES-O-LITE 350 tuners and installed them (easy direct replacement) and had my machinest builder friend make the plate covers - he countersunk the screw holes so the screw heads are even with the plates - perfect fit - they are shielded.   Of course I kept and will include all the original parts which can easily be swapped back in if desired or I can do that prior to shipping.
Bottom line, at a mere 9lbs 8 ounces with LED batteries, 9lbs 2 oz without them, it is the lightest SC Signature Deluxe you are likely to find - sustains forever, sounds and plays great
The bass has a set of new Alembic round wound strings and the neck is straight needing no adjustment.

Action is setup low and(the way I like it - not a slap happy guy!)  The bass plays perfectly without any fret buzz up and down the 24 fret short scale neck. To be clear, the bass takes standard length strings but the 24 fret neck is the same length as a bass with the usual 20 frets.  Balances great and has the original strap locks. You can use a strap without the locks if you need to.

All switches are tested and work fine though you do have to jiggle the LED switch a bit to turn on the LEDS - again, removing the 4 9V batteries that power the LEDs takes off 6.5 ounces bringing total weight of the bass to a mere 9lbs 2 oz
I love the panning volume switches to blend the pickups as desired.

The Q switches are amazing in terms of adding punch around a selected midrange point.

Case is in great shape with the exception that there are no keys, the springs in the clocking latches do not spring open though it locks up fine and the leather lockdown on the inner pocket as broken off but can be fixed.

All my sales carry 48 hour inspection period - if for ANY reason, you do not LOVE the bass, let know and you can return it (you pay shipping) for a full refund of the purchase price minus my shipping cost.  I charge just $120 for insured UPS shipping using U-line bass boxes and pack it professionally personally.  I know how to pack - have bought and sold many instruments over the 50 years I have played.

Please write with any questions - As a seller, I try to be provide as accurate a description as possible so there are no surprises.

Best regards and thanks for looking,

Todd Harris - Bandleader/bassist/lead vocalist - B Side Bandits

I'm the original owner of this bass...had it for 17 years.  It's an outstanding bass...effortless to play.  I can vouch for Todd, he's a great guy & easy to deal with.  Someone is going to be very happy with this bass!
