Yeah that ticks the right boxes for me except no musical opportunities to play it.
I know it would be a serious challenge to achieve, but it would be interesting if the octave strings could have a separate output to the regular strings. I'm thinking of the sound that is on a lot of the Wailers tracks where the bass lines are also mirrored on the guitar.
Like this.
Maybe would need a separate eq and an octave pedal to lift the output pitch to get the right separation.

Deep breaths, If you are lusting after that bass, you still have vast numbers of notes left to play. 🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🥳🥳🥳

Well, that's not too bad looking.......

What does S1 ready mean?  Does the 5 pin do anything?  What do all the controls do if there are no filters?

I doubt the seller would know which is why I'm asking here  :)

Most likely it is Anniversary electronics + master volume :-) (Prepped for Series)

Sold - I was thinking about it but I took too long. I would like to get an 8 sting, but never tried one. I do have a 12 string guitar.

Thanks FC Bass!

I do own an instrument with Anniversary electronics which I like.  So purchased the bass.  I have a full stereo rig for my Series basses so I may go for the S1 mod later, but we'll see how it goes and how often I use it in a band situation.

Awesome, congrats!

Master volume is a great addition to the package, I use it on a couple of songs in our list for a fade out.
First I thought the extra switch was for side leds, but it looks like it has the standard side dots?
If so it's most likely the mono/stereo switch for the 1/4 jack.

yeah i thought aboot this one for a minute.  my bandmates freak out when i pop the strings on my 5-string fretted basses, i'd love to see the reaction if i showed up to rehearsal with an 8-string.  but alas most of my stuff is drop tuned to accommodate aging vocal cords and besides that it's medium scale 😮.  'nuff said.  i do like the bass string on the bottom like my exploiter 8 was. if it's stereo the then it should be killer if ya use it that way.

good luck to all!
