Rick Derringer was a huge influence on me since I was the age of 10.

Me too.
I have had the opportunity to catch him live a few times. Good stuff.

Was listening to him in the early 70's playing with Johnny and Edgar, and then his All-American Boy album.

One of my older sisters had the Hang on Sloopy 45. I loved it and thought they were saying Snoopy.
A few years later, a copy of Edgar Winter's White Trash "Roadwork" live album appeared at the house, and I started listening to that a lot. RIP Rick. Great work sir.

Sad news. Edgar Winter's White Trash and Roadwork were a regular part of the rotation along with the Edgar Winter Group, on which Rick also played, during my high school years.
