I think they are legitimate Raytheon knobs, but I don't care for the aesthetic of grey on an Alembic. Yeah, that Distillate is sweet. I bet it takes the small shaft ones. Mine did anyway.

There are some things that just seem or look “out of place.” Roger Clemens and Wades Boggs in Yankees uniforms, Ted Williams winning the triple crown but not being voted MVP, a friend of mine blending Tracy Chapman’s “Fast Car” with Irish folk music at a recent gig. And this is another fine example.

I thought it would have been a great April Fool's prank for Mica... (remember those...?) Alembic Guitars has now made the change after 50 years to these spiffy touch-of-grey Raytheon hat knobs... get used to them, because they are here to stay!

I think the touch of grey knobs would look fine on some of the greyish buckeye burl basses.

I could see that. It might also work in a situation with the pickups also cast in grey epoxy.
