How many 12 string guitars has Alembic made over the years?

Also, please post images.

Greg Lake's twelvy that was made in the middle 70's sold a bunch of years ago on Reverb!

If there is a thread on it, I'm sure Ed of H will put us wise! :D

But, as far as a tally,

You would have to figure Alembic has been producing instruments since the 1960's!

You may not be able to acquire such info  :(

I don't know if there's ever been a Showcase Thread for Greg's 12-string, or the 6-string either. Just remember that they were mentioned. The 6-string was a '75 medium-scale, with zebrawood top and cherry core.

As far as I've ever read, Alembic never kept track of how many of any model was produced. I can't imagine there would be a huge number of 12-string guitars, but they had their time. Maybe Mica would make a guesstimate at the number.

Interesting... never seen Buck with a Series 12-string. There are a couple glimpses of him playing a white medium scale guitar about then. Wonder if this was a 'tryout' or actually his?

*went back and looked at the picture. I'm not quite sure what is making me think this guitar was white, because you can't see the front of it in the picture, just the back of the neck and headstock. And... it's a b/w picture. It's possible I'm confusing it with his white Les Paul? I just swear that info got wedged in there somehow. [shrug] Clearly at some point, he had one of each. Wonder where those axes are now?

Here’s a link to the Showcase thread of my ‘77 LSG 12.  I’m considering selling, if anyone is interested.

We don't have any idea - we don't track models or features except the rare limited edition.

I guess once all your records are on computer you may be able to get that kind of info from an AI engine search of your database. 🤓🧐🤨😋
