Last year, I posted my trouble with the rear pickup, which was not picking up the sound loud enough as compared to the front on my Brown Bass. I had a friend who owns guitar repair practice, look at the circuit and he found the soldering on wires connected to the selector switch was not insulated enough. So it was not the problem with the volume pod. Kinda surprised at the compromised craftsmanship inside of Alembic (I bought this bass brand new.) in this case. Anyway, I am so happy that my Alembic is in a good shape now that I want to play it all the time.
