Hello All,
Has anybody seen this one? Do you think it is legit? There is no option to message the seller?

I would really like a medium scale series I for a good price/value.

Seems legit.  You can message Ishibashi Music Japan from their Reverb page if you log in.  Or email imj*at*ishibashi.co.jp. The only surprise in the listing is what looks like a brand new DS-5, likely ordered because the original would have only worked on US power.

Yes, it's legit, and I know the guy who is in charge of that location that stocks this bass.  Someone traded in without the cable and DS-5, and he had to source them (cable is sourced in Japan, I'm using the cable from the same company and works just fine.)

It is pretty decent shape, much less finish checking compared to my '79, serial number is 79 - 1446.
I like this placement of neck pickup: just enough space for your finger to pull, and close enough to retain the classic look.  I personally don't like the recent spacing.
Just remove the truss rod cover and you are good to go!

If you're interested, go for it!  I've dealt with them for a while, very good shop.

Wow - that's a beauty! I'm going to Japan in late November - my first time in 12 years! Excited to visit guitar stores. (I'm not in the market for this one, though if the exchange rate holds out I could be tempted to pick something up...)
