well that's helpful.  i'm guessing the LEDs are powered by the DS-5 and are not adjustable?  looks like a balance K body.  Does it neck-dive?  i think my whole collection are neck-divers, the SII being the worst of the lot with all that mass in the neck laminates.

FWIW i once owned a 35" 5-string neck-thru from one of the mass-market manufacturers sold at GC.  the build quality was exceptionnally poor (fresh factory-finished protruding razor-sharp fret ends up above the 14th for starters, really uncomfortable abrupt body edges, kinda like what you'd find on a piece of 2 x 12 lumber.  it felt and looked like a butcher-block chopping board you'd buy at wally-world) but that B-string vibrated my whole body when i strapped it up.  i can only imagine what it's like on this instrument.

Europa body not Balance-K. My 5-string basses are 35" scale with the exception of my two Series basses, one is 32" the other 34". I did get to briefly play a 35" scale Series bass with a Balance-K body at one of the gatherings a few years back. I played it sitting with no strap so can't comment about neck-dive but felt the reach to first position was a bit too long for me.

If the intensity of the LEDs in the Europa is not adjustable it is pretty easy to put a trim-pot (in the cavity) to adjust them. I had that done with my Series II and with them set where I wanted don't feel a need to adjust them for different situations. Since I would never gig a Series bass without using the power supply having them on all the time isn't an issue either.

I didn't particularly feel neck dive while playing. However, I'm not entirely sure because I think the type of strap might make a difference.

The LED lights up when connected to the DS-5, which is correct. There isn't a dimmer, but since the size is small and the brightness isn't too high, it doesn't bother the eyes at all.

well as long as you can see them without being blinded, it's all good.
the LEDs in my A-bass were so bright i could almost land aircraft with them.  since there was an LED switch on the front anyways, i swapped it out with the on-off-on version and made it a high-off-low LEDs switch.  i'm considering doing the same mod to the MKD.  it has an internal pot (and a control cavity hood-light LED).  i keep it pretty dim for practicing, but since it's my gigging bass, being able to switch on the high-beams for a brightly lit room would be nice.  the SII has a knob on hte front (bringing the knob count to 9), the essence uses a FretFX with an assortment of half-dead batteries for brightness control
