Custom color, or refinish?
« on: August 26, 2024, 04:07:04 AM »
Any ideas on how I can find out if the finish on my bass is a factory finish? I’ve never seen this color on an Alembic. Other than it’s uniqueness, I have no reason to believe it is refinished, because the finish is perfect.

Thanks!

That one is truly unique! A great way to introduce yourself here at the Alembic Club.

Definitive answer is right here: S/N: 90s SC 6067 USA Bubble Gum Pink Stanley Clarke

(Click on Home, put the serial # in the Seach box)

Thank you so much! I’ll print that thread out and keep it with the bass, so the question doesn’t appear again after some one pries it out of my cold, dead hands.

Melheasty, welcome to the camp!

Nice bass, did you just get it or have you owned it awhile?

Welcome. Cool bass. I looked for it in the custom archive but couldn't find it. I'm glad other members were able to find the history on it.

Pauldo:
I bought it somewhere around 2017. I got a great price on it, because the punk might have been too much for some folk. Looks like being assured in my masculinity might have finally paid off.
It is my prized possession.

Thanks to everyone for being so gratious.
