Looking for a F-2B or F-1X

My stereo preamp caught on fire. Beware Wayne Jones products..lol

So now I am looking for a F-2B or another F-1X. Either will allow a stereo in my current setup. Have lots of trades or will buy outright.

When you indicate "stereo" with the F1-X are you referring to the electronic crossover which lets you separately amplify the high and low end of your sound? I've always been under the impression that to get the full stereo effect you would need an F-2B which has two channels so you can set different tone settings from your Series bass pickups (or two F1-Xs or similar preamps) as well as a stereo power amp or two mono amps and two speaker cabs. But then again I'm a plug and play kind of guy who knows little to nothing about the electronics end of things.

You're correct. I already own a F-1X so I would use two for a stereo rig. I thought I would take either one as they would both work for what I have in mind.

That's exactly what I do.  Two F-1Xs and an SF-2 powered by a Yamaha 3500S.  I have to admit I don't use the stereo option as much as I probably should.  However I think that to really hear and feel a significant difference I'd need to get a new speaker cab. When I go stereo at this point, I'm running one PU through a PJB 8 x 5 cab and the other through a PJB 16 x 5. To be honest, I don't hear that much of a difference unless I'm really doing something dramatic with the filters or running one PU through my Lexicon MPX 1 processor.[size=78%]    [/size]
