Happy Birthday, Alison Krauss
« on: July 23, 2024, 03:50:50 AM »
Al is 53 today. She sounds great, looks great, and best of all, looks like she is enjoying herself playing music again. Hard to believe it's been over 30 years since she became a household name. We all knew she was going to be something bigger, but none of us had any clue how big.

A couple weeks ago with Robert Plant... and if you listen to the band intros at the end, her brother Viktor too. Yeah, I think she's having a pretty good time.

Pairing her with him is a criminal waste of a goddess's talent......

Well... it ain't my favorite thing either Coz. But an awful lot of folks like it whether we do or not, and Alison seems to be enjoying the gig. The feeling is evidently mutual too, as Rob't quite publicly cites her musicianship.

I'm choosing to just be happy for her, as I would any other musician who gets to continue doing something they quite obviously enjoy. She's 53 today, and still relevant, some would say influential, in the music industry where people get routinely eaten alive. I don't know what better birthday wish I could come up with.
