I'm slowly sliding into retirement and thinking about offering some of my collection, which includes all-original basses: 1966 Jazz Bass, 1966 Precision Bass, 1977 4001 Jetglo, and my custom James Tyler 4-string for sale. I will consider great condition Alembic medium scale 4 strings for trade. If seriously interested I can send some pics to you. Thanks, Keith

Greg, I'm still working, but keeping it easier and close to home. Not retiring from my Alembics and practice. There will be a lot of luthier work and some pickin' in your retirement, I bet.

Oh yeah, I'm not really retired either  :) ... just done with public service. At least the full-time job of it. I never have imagined myself as someone who just stopped working. I have to be doing something...

After I've been gone long enough that I have been effectively replaced,  I may return to teach and mentor,  troubleshoot. That kind of thing. Just no more 50-60 hour weeks and standby duty. No more being the only guy with a phone.

That said, if 1284 goes up for sale... well... I may have to rehome another one or two.
