81 FS Series Bass

This bass belonged to another Club Member here for a time... I remember it well. 81-1955 was marked as a Factory Second, but quite a looker with a purpleheart top and back. It's evidently been back home for a bit of work.

Well hello there, it’s been a long time!

I fondly recall my former bass. It’s always interesting to see an old friend pop up.

I haven’t been on the Club much in the past few years. Life and playing more guitar have distracted me 😃

Thanks so much for your kind words, guys. I’ve been gigging only about once or twice a month, and I’ve played guitar on 90% of those gigs. I joined a band to augment their lineup when one of the members was having health issues. I play guitar if he’s there, and bass if he’s not. Keeps me on my toes!

I’m a teacher on summer vacation right now, so I am enjoying that.
