So it seems like every single sub-$1000 F-1X disappears instantly, but I found a solution: buy from Japan!
Managed to come in right around that level, including shipping.
The photos that show you how to adjust for the different voltages were super helpful - although man is it a tight squeeze.
One bit of advice that I will say for anyone who decides to purchase any AC powered item from Japan is that you should not use the power-cable supplied. Their plugs are really similar to ours, but they are different. IEC power cables are cheap enough, so it’s better to be safe than sorry.
If you look closely at Japanese plugs, they have a different (i.e. non-UL) certification on them.
I’ve gone through and recorded some tone samples, and will hopefully put them together into a video soon. I went through four different EQ settings, bright/deep/both for the 2-10-2 setting, and used two different basses with three different tone settings - and boy am I sick of playing the same thing over and over again. My math tells me that I recorded the same bit 42 times.
