RIP
« on: April 25, 2024, 02:00:14 PM »
Keyboardist Mike Pinder, last surviving original member of the Moody Blues, passed away today at age 82.

My brother & I had a portable, unhook-the-sides-for-stereo 8-traxck player, and everything from Go Now through Seventh Sojourn; I spent a happy hour lying the floor with a speaker on each side of my head listening to them.

What a weird and unfortunate coincidence... we were just talking about the Moody Blues in the Control Room yesterday morning. It just came up in conversation.

Thanks for posting this.  And yes, the Moody Blues hold a special place in my memories as well.

Knowing he was the last original member touches deeper.

My parents' favorite band, and one of my first concerts and a big influence.

Man. That is sad news. There music was always on in my childhood. "The Question" bassline is one of my all time favorites.
