Exciting news - certainly a fan thanks to the late great Eric Eide.
Saw them in 81 at Summerfest with Eric and 2018 on their last tour. Hope they come to Milwaukee again.

Also for Dregs fans, I watched Rick Beato's interview with Steve Morse a few days ago. Of particular note is how radically he's had to change his right hand technique in order to continue playing despite the damage his hand has suffered; and playing through the pain. I remember several years ago watching, I think it was a rig rundown interview when he was still with Deep Purple, a video where he talked about the problems he was having with his right hand, and that he was changing his technique to compensate. In Beato's interview, Steve is moving his entire forearm, instead of his wrist, to pick those fast runs.

Inspiring. Previously I only heard Steve’s guitar speak. It was enjoyable getting to hear him talk about so many things. What If was my first Dixie Dregs album, now I know more about the title. 😃

I don't see a Chicago date listed. I'm still kicking myself for not going when they came through with Andy West a few years ago.
Looks like they're sticking close to home this time, which is understandable.

I am so glad I saw them in 2018! I even caught a little bit of video:

Wish I could have recorded more, but I have a feeling I wanted to experience the music as it was happening. Glad I caught this snippet though!
Went with a really good friend of mine from back when I worked at Cody's Books on Telegraph in Bezerkeley - he ended up being really allergic to the theater - mold? - the seats were kind of yucky - but we survived to tell the tale!
