Would you consider selling or exchanging the knobs?

I had those custom made, ebony and gold wire, they cost $75 each.  I think I will probably leave them on the guitar. I may have some extras if you are interested.

I’m working on purchasing a lighter weight hollowbody guitar (better for my back) and I’d like to pass this along to the next custodian, so please let me know if interested.

$5000 plus shipping, I think that is reasonable for a Series I Guitar in excellent condition.

Thanks.

Hope all is ok with link.
I had some buffering issues, appreciate how you were methodical with presenting the different settings.

Thanks, Paul.  Yes, the link kept freezing up, probably too big a file to effectively stream. Would require a full download, so I took it down until I can figure out YouTube.

Nice demo of 1116 Rob... nice playing.  Hearing it again takes me back.  :)

For any interested party, most of the time I had this guitar, it wore a set of Thomastik Infeld flats, the George Benson signature set (.012 - .053, with a wound .020 3rd) which was a whole new pallette of tones.

Might you have switched your sights from a hollow body to an incredible deal on a smaller bodied Alembic guitar, perhaps one without bat wings, Rob?

hehehehe

Bill, I don’t follow what you are thinking, the guitars I currently have are this one, a Turner Electroline, a Benedetto Benny, and  Guild Starfire IV.  No small bodies batwings.

That’s weird.  I thought I saw you post about getting a Further on another forum, but now I can’t find it.   Do you post on Strat-talk or Thegearpage?

No, as much as I would like a Further, I don’t see that happening right now.  It must have been someone else since I don’t post on Strat-talk.  I did have this Series guitar posted on Thegearpage for a while, but no inquiries so I took it down last week. I just took this down from reverb as well since the only interest was from low ballers and scammers.  I’ll leave it posted here for a while, but I just played it again today and it really is a fantastic guitar, so may just end up keeping it and selling the Starfire IV instead (which is actually a pretty heavy guitar… 10 pounds).

Thanks, Greg…flatwounds and .012 gauge?  I will have to try flats on this guitar, but maybe .011. :)
