Hello Andy,
this is what we have on file:
1976 4 string long scale series bass
Maple top & back
maple/walnut core
maple/walnut/beech neck
walnut peghead veneer
mother of pearl oval inlays
partridgewood fingerboard
Completed 12/07/76
That's it.

Is that Andy Partridgewood or Danny Partridgewood?
Huge difference in texture and quality.

That's the first I've heard of a Partridgewood fingerboard.

The only songs that fret correctly on it are I Think I love You and C'mon Get Happy, and you gotta wear a mullet

Here's what I found on Partridgewood,
from
www.cocoboloinc.com
Caesalpinia libidibia
Extremely heavy and dense chocolate brown to black colored wood from South America. 70 to 82 lbs per cubic foot. Takes a magnificent polish. Used for fine articles of turnery.

Funny no one mentions a gem like Making Plans for Nigel when Andy Partridge is mentioned.
Love the
www.cocoboloinc.com
link.
