Looks like a Stanley Clarke to me but is it?

Looks like a Stanley signature model but uncle Google's webpage translation points out: "This is a slightly rare fish that uses a medium scale instead of a short scale."   :)  I think I'm reading 1990 on the truss rod cover.  Some slight discoloration of the pickups and it says there is a broken off screw embedded somewhere - maybe that little blemish at the bottom of the back?  But otherwise looks to be in nice condition.  Asking around $6800 US...

I was in Japan a few weeks ago and had time to go to some music stores.  It might just be a coincidence, but I saw a few Alembics and the brass hardware on all of them were in really rough shape. It was really hot and humid, and the stores i went to didn’t do much climate control. I bet those basses get a lot of temperature variation throughout the years. Just another thing to keep in mind.

Good point. A lot of my guitars here get those kind of issues.
