« on: August 30, 2023, 01:39:45 AM »
A dream come true .. I finally purchased my first Alembic Guitar!  I love my Persuader Bass and have long lusted for a guitar.

This one came up at a price I couldn't refuse .  Can't wait to play her . Ruby is my birthstone ..

Prayers and blessing to the seller , a forum member in Florida .. I hope the Hurricane doesn't hit too hard!

I saw this on reverb! The price was a no-brainer if in the market for an Alembic. Congratulations! It’s a beautiful guitar. I’m jealous!

Congrats!  Something about the way the flame intersects the grain lines reminds me of alligator skin.

Good luck with the storm.  I hope all went well.

Paul sent it off yesterday no worries, he escaped the wrath of Idalia thankfully .
She'll be here tommorow.

I'll need to order both screw sets as there are few missing. No worries  as a luthier , it's always nice to have a few spare parts.

I just noticed what I surmise is "normal"  ALL the 18 the Skylarks on the main site have only 2 pickups screws installed ~kitty corner  .I thought mine were missing ..curious ..

it also lists on my build sheet that it's " Mahogany Hollow body"  a pleasent surprise

Yes! Almost all 4-screw pickups are upper/lower mount without screws. The two you see clamp the pickup in place, the two you can't (that are under the pickup) set the height. Don't try to lower by cranking the ones you see.

She just arrived , in near mint shape.  By far the BRIGHTEST , Clearest guitar I've ever played.. just like my Persuader Bass.
