pretty good deal at $7k. i could give a fig about the power supply, case and cable at that price since it would be a playah at the house 0'beendown, dontcha know. how that would work for the other playahs around here i dunno.

the seller is mostly into pokemon and blister-packed toys.  whatshedoin sellin an SII i'd wanna know.  but since it's ebay and i'm outta the market anyways we'll jsut sit back and watch the fun.

that's about the only way i'd fork out $ for this bass.  in daylight.  next to a cop station.  after i'd played it.  for a while.

elsewise this bass checks some boxes for me.  SII.  8-string.  lonng scale.  price ain't too far from reality. so far.  but - no ebony neck stringer.  gotta  have one of those on an SII!  no case power supply, probably get shipped in a leatherette gig bag in a cardboard box  like my last bass came.  maybe i'd be better off chasing after that starburst dragonwing.  it's still around.  never played one of those.  hmmmm....

i've already owned an 8-stringer and an SII (or 2), just not in the same box, so no new ground for me and certianly not with a sketchy seller history (i've gotten burned by "the drummer selling it for a friend" pitch.  bad.  on ebay.).  wonder if this will surface again? hopefully on the NBD page.  i dunno.  still lusting aftyer that dragon wing.  hmmm...  never owned one of those before.

so i did the math on this deal:

sold for:      $8300 USD
relisted for: $17500 USD
vigorish:      $9200 USD

if i wanted to get ripped off on that scale, i coulda sent the oringinal seller $8300 and had them send me an empty box, bought a G & G case, new DS-5 and cable and tossed them in the trash upon arrival and still not be up to $9200 USD.  at least that way i eliminated the middle-man.

sheesh.  it's not rocket surgery.
