(x) Happy Birthday to me! Serial Number 84S3310
« on: August 17, 2023, 09:55:52 AM »
Just received...4 String Spoiler 84S3310!

Seems to be a custom order (name inscribed on Truss rod cover) for single owner, sold to music store.
Kept it in great shape, plays and sounds great right out of the box.
A completely different experience from last acquisition.
Needs a little cleaning, but love it already.
86S4221 also pictured, coming along...

Hi Ed,

Here's what was in the instrument file for your bass:

top: Zebrawood
body: Mahogany
neck: Maple
scale: 32" medium
fingerboard: Ebony
inlays: Pearloid (plastic) ovals)
tuning keys: Schaller
pickups: AXY4
controls: volume, pickup selector switch, filter, Q-switch, mono output
originally made for: not recorded
birthday: September 21, 1984

There's nothing recorded as being custom ordered. Many people do decorate the truss rod cover later with engraving at a trophy store since the plate is solid brass. Really nice looking piece of Zebrawood there!

Many thanks Mica!

I am constantly impressed with the build of Alembic basses, the robustness of all the brass hardware, and how reachable you are as a company.  I'm sure we are an impatient group looking for help( I speak for myself) but all the help and info is really appreciated!
I have a few more Serial numbers coming your way shortly!
